Rhea Turns 1

On May 9th, Rhea turned 1 year old!  My little munchkin is growing up so fast!!  We celebrated her birthday at the end of the month when Mom & I got out of school (Mom is now a school nurse and loves it).  I know it is now the middle of July but I have been super busy getting ready for the next school year, I will be teaching technology this year!!  Looking forward to it, but I have had a ton to get ready!!

 The following picture was taken before her birthday, but it was a really special photo even though she didn't like the photographer!  The dress she is wearing was made by my great-grandmother.  We have pictures of me and my sister in the dress when we were each about Rhea's age.  It is so neat to have pictures of her in the dress also.  My sister is getting a side-by-side frame and having the picture of her and Rhea both in the dress!

I was plotting my get away!!!  Granny made this dress for Aunt Stephie, it is my turn to wear it now!!!

Christmas review & Happy New Year

This year was a different Christmas, we went to Tampa instead of having my sister and brother-in-law come up here.  By far though the biggest difference was having Rhea!!!  She made Christmas so much more fun.

 On New Year's Day we went to the Outback Bowl and the night before we took Rhea to the parade.  She was a hit!  She was the cutest LSU fan there!!  Everyone was talking to her and she racked up on the beads!!

Rhea Update

It has been so long since I have blogged!  Most of you follow me on Facebook so you know that things have been crazy as usual!  Working full time at Emerson Elementary School as a Paraprofessional in Special Ed.  It can be challenging at times, but I love my job and the students and teachers I get to work with on a daily basis.  I'm also still in school full time.

Just to catch everyone up!  In June Mom and I drove down to Tampa to pick up my sister and Rhea to take her to New Orleans to meet her great-grandparents and her grandpa (my father) and her great aunts and uncle.

Rhea Isis Adkins

Rhea Isis Adkins is here!  My precious niece was born on Thursday, May 9th at 3:15! She weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and was 20.5 inches long.  I haven't been able to get my hands on her yet, but her Aunt Stephie can't wait!!!

 Rhea had her first doctor's appointment today and she is doing well!!  Lisa enjoyed her first Mother's Day.  Roy (my brother-in-law) said that Rhea gave her Mommy the best gift, a 3 hour nap!  I can't believe that Rhea will already be a week old tomorrow!!
